Case Modding

A few years ago one of my PC’s was driving me crazy, so loud and so hot! “fudge to that” I thought and bought myself a nice water cooling kit from Asetek, it leaked to start with, so I tried to fix it, but the silicon sealant i used ate the plastic tops of the cooling blocks. Damn i thought, but as they leaked to start with asetek were kind enough to send me some replacement water block tops (now that’s service!!). Anyway, got it all in the PC but there wasn’t sufficient air flow through my PC’s case, so I decided to do this:

I measured things up and made a few templates used for positioning of the drill, like this

My PC case cover started off looking like this

Then we do a bit of drilling…

Eventually we end up with all these holes!

And yes, there is a small crack in the perspex there :( Oh well.
