1981 Toyota Hi-Lux 4×4 2.0L
I think I bought it in 1997, I vaguely remember paying about £500 for it and later sold it for just £50! It was great fun to drive with it’s high driving position, a stark contrast from my Lotus Elise which I also owned at the same time. It was a petrol engine, which meant that running it was pretty expensive as it had rather rubbish fuel economy. It was great for stickings BMXs, Surfboards and the like in too.
