1990 Nissan Patrol 4×4 2.5L
I think I bought it around 2000 and that it cost £2995, in hind-sight I wish I’d worked another week and spent another £1000 to buy a Toyota Hi-Lux surf instead, but never mind. It too was petrol – you think I’d of learnt that big non-fuel-injection engines were expensive to run after my previous 4×4, but alas there wasn’t much choice in large 6 seater 4×4’s for less than £3000 back then.
Alas, for some reason I didn’t take any pictures of it myself and just have this one from the auto-trader advert:

I drove it down to the french alps a couple of times on snowboarding trips, and no I don’t want to think about how much the petrol cost for those missions. In the snow it was brilliant too, even more fun was had going up the snowy switchback mountain roads with the vehicle in rear-wheel-drive mode :D
The vehicle was enjoyed by all those that rode in it and it was especially useful when ferrying people between Meribel and Tignes on the odd occasion. Getting 6 snowboarders and all their gear into a regular car just wouldn’t have worked!
